Premature exact pricing
A price that sounds exact before anyone has looked at your actual hardware usually isn't. We also don't take on structural carpentry, framing repair, or electrical panel work.

Our limits
We don't quote a broken spring, a bent track, or an off-track door sight unseen and call it final. A lot of the houses around here went up between 1967 and 1999, with the median landing around 1980, and that stretch of building years covers a wide range of door sizes, track styles, and opener mounts.
A price that sounds exact before anyone has looked at your actual hardware usually isn't. We also don't take on structural carpentry, framing repair, or electrical panel work.
If your opener issue traces back to a bad circuit or your door opening needs to be reframed, that's outside what we do, and we'll tell you so rather than stretch the job past what we're set up for. Same goes for custom or oversized doors that don't match standard stock sizes.
We can look and give you our honest read, but if parts have to be special-ordered or built, that changes both the price and the timeline, and we're not going to pretend otherwise just to get a number on paper.
Our services
We work on the parts that actually fail: torsion and extension springs, cables, rollers, hinges, tracks, individual panels, and openers, both the motor unit and the sensors and remotes that go with it. If your door won't open, won't close all the way, or makes a noise it didn't used to make, that's the kind of call we take.
Given that most of the housing stock in this area dates to the 1980s and 90s, a good share of our calls are original hardware reaching the end of its life - springs that have done their last cycle, openers with drive systems that don't have replacement parts made for them anymore. In those cases, we'll tell you straight whether a repair makes sense or whether you're better off replacing the unit instead of patching an old one.
To give you a number that holds up, we need to know the door's size, whether it's one piece or sectional, what kind of spring system it runs, and whether the opener is original or already been swapped once. Photos help. A quick look in person helps more.
Service area
Serving Agoura Hills, CA
We're based at 29800 Agoura Rd in Agoura Hills, and most of our calls stay close to home. Oak Park is about two miles north of us, and Westlake Village is roughly three miles out - those are easy, regular runs. We also head out to Bell Canyon and Hidden Hills, both around six miles from the shop, and up to Lake Sherwood, about seven miles away.
Farther out, we still take jobs in Santa Susana, Topanga, and Santa Rosa Valley, each around ten miles, and Woodland Hills to the east at about nine. For the longer runs, we cover Somis, Piru, Stevenson Ranch, and Fillmore, which land between 16 and 19 miles from Agoura Hills. If you're not sure whether you're in range, call the number below and ask - it's faster than guessing from a map.
Questions
For simple stuff like a remote or keypad issue, sometimes. For springs, cables, tracks, or opener replacement, no - we need to see the door. Age, spring type, and door weight all change the price, and guessing at those over the phone does nobody any favors.
The door's measurements, whether it's a one-piece or sectional door, what kind of spring system it has, and whether the opener has been replaced before. A couple of photos of the spring and track area help us narrow things down before we even get there.
Yes. We regularly cover Oak Park, Westlake Village, Bell Canyon, Hidden Hills, and Lake Sherwood, and we'll take calls as far out as Somis, Piru, Stevenson Ranch, and Fillmore. Call us at (818) 441-7796 to check if your address is in range.
Custom and oversized doors don't follow standard part sizing, so a quote based on guesswork is likely to be wrong in one direction or the other. We'd rather take the extra ten minutes to look than hand you a number we'll have to change later.
